As someone born in April, I’m thrilled! As someone who covers network television, I’m sad, because April kicks off hiatuses for a number of beloved broadcast TV shows. If you’re here, you’re likely wondering if 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville‘s schedules are impacted…

For those who need a refresher, ABC’s hit first responder dramas delivered two eventful episodes last week. 9-1-1‘s “Where There’s Smoke” saw the team work together to understand a series of complex calls, and get through a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Then it ended with another kind of mystery call… Meanwhile, 9-1-1: Nashville‘s “Love To Death” featured a villainous turn from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG Kyle Richards.

Naturally, we need to see what happens next in the 9-1-1 universe ASAP. But if you head to ABC on Thursday, April 9 (or Hulu on April 10), will you be able to catch new episodes of 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville? We’ve got answers!

Is 9-1-1 on tonight? Is 9-1-1: Nashville on tonight? When do 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville return with new episodes on ABC? How many episodes are in 9-1-1 Season 9 and 9-1-1: Nashville Season 1? When do the 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville finales premiere on ABC? And will there be a 9-1-1 Season 10 and 9-1-1: Nashville Season 2? Here’s everything we know.

Sadly, no. If you tune in to ABC on Thursday, April 9, you can watch reruns of R.J. Decker‘s first three episodes instead.

Both 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville are on hiatus for the next few weeks. The two shows return with new episodes on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

Both 9-1-1 Season 9 and 9-1-1: Nashville‘s debut season consist of 18 episodes, and since 16 have aired thus far, when the shows return from hiatus they’ll each have two episodes left.

Both 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville air new episodes on Thursday, April 30, and their season finales will air the following week on Thursday, May 7.

You bet! The 9-1-1-verse is still going strong. On March 5, ABC renewed both 9-1-1 series. So although the current seasons are ending, rest easy knowing we haven’t seen the last of the 118 or the 113.

Want to watch 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville live when they return? If you have a cable subscription that includes ABC, you can watch both shows live by setting your TV to the proper channel ahead of their Feb. 26 premiere. You can also use your cable username and password to watch live ABC episodes live on ABC.com or with the ABC app. And if your cable package includes a DVR, you can always record live episodes for later viewing.

No cable? No worries! There are several other live viewing options, such as live TV skinny bundles, which give you access to networks without cable. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and fuboTV, all come with ABC. And if you don’t have cable or a live TV skinny bundle, you can always stream new episodes the following day on Hulu.

Want to stream past and future 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville episodes? Head to Hulu!

If you’re new to Hulu, you can get started with a 30-day free trial on the streamer’s basic (with ads) plan. After the trial period, you’ll pay $10.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.

If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu. These bundles start at $12.99/month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu and goes up to $32.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max, all ad-free.

Stay tuned for more 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville coverage from Decider.
