Jason Kelce might be getting a bit too busy at ESPN these days.
The retired Eagles center and podcast host, alongside his brother Travis Kelce, has been quite busy for the Worldwide Leader, and that seemingly is causing some issues with fans with Kelce receiving some pushback for his latest assignment at Augusta National for The Masters.
Some golf fans are not huge supporters of Kelce getting the nod at golf’s premiere event in 2026, as Kelce covered Wednesday’s Par 3 event.
“According to social media, it doesn’t appear that Jason Kelce being at the masters has gone over very well,” one fan posted on X.
Kelce even took a couple of swings — that did not go so well.
“Omfgggg lmfao maybe give him a beer too?!” former NBA sharpshooter Sam Dekker wrote after a shot by Kelce flew well beyond the green.
Kelce was not the only celebrity in attendance with comedian Kevin Hart serving as Bryson DeChambeau’s celebrity caddie.

“Due to ESPN and ANGC’s complete mishandling of the par 3 contest, I will no longer be tuning into any Masters coverage until thursday,” X account @texasgolfflore wrote. “The broadcast was overwhelmed by forced celebrity appearances. they turned a cherished family tradition into yet another loud, crossover spectacle. we are losing what makes the Masters special.”
This ado about Kelce’s role comes after he previously looked out of place during the Lightning vs. Bruins Stadium Series game in February as ESPN attempts to find the sweet spot for his usage.
Kelce will always feel at home on the gridiron, where he played eight seasons at center for the Eagles.
He will again be part of “Monday Night Countdown” again for this upcoming season and should be heavily involved in ESPN’s NFL coverage.
