Axing of shows on May 2 and 3 due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’ follows cancellation of May 9 concert in Shanghai

The announcement on Thursday followed a similar move in early March, when the band cancelled its May 9 concert in Shanghai.
Led by frontman Taka, the band, which has 3 million Instagram followers, was originally slated to perform at the Central Harbourfront Event Space on May 2 and 3 as part of its “Detox” Asia Tour 2026.
“This decision was made because of unforeseen circumstances outside the control of the artist and the organiser. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, these issues could not be resolved, and the shows can no longer go ahead,” tour promoter Live Nation Hong Kong said.
The statement did not reveal any specific reason for the cancellation – whether logistical, technical or personal – while offering an apology to fans.
The organiser promised full refunds to ticket holders. Refunds will be processed in six to eight weeks for Cityline customers and seven to 10 working days for those who booked their tickets via Trip.com.
