Rory McIlroy and wife Erica Stoll were all smiles on Wednesday during the Masters Par 3 Contest.
McIlroy, Stoll and their daughter Poppy were photographed on the grounds of Augusta National during the annual competition that takes place the day before the start of the Masters.
Stoll carried the bag for McIlroy during the lighthearted event and both Stoll and Poppy donned the iconic white caddie jumpsuits while walking with the reigning champion.
In one image, Stoll and McIlroy were all smiles as they walked down the first hole, along with Shane Lowry.
In another photograph, the family posed for a picture during the contest.
The Par 3 Contest makes for heartfelt moments as golfers’ families join them on the course, with the kids often stealing the show.
“Families will gather and walk alongside the players, with children in their caddie jumpsuits wandering about – some taking swings and hitting putts, others just trying to dive in a bunker and play in the sand,” the day is described as on the Masters’ website.
McIlroy and Stoll had made headlines in May 2024 after the golfer filed for divorce, claiming their marriage was “irretrievably broken,” only to call off the proceedings a month later.
Golf journalist Alan Shipnuck’s “Rory: The Heartache and Triumph of Golf’s Most Human Superstar,” details McIlroy reportedly flirting with Stoll at the 2012 Ryder Cup, which derailed the golfer’s engagement to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki. That same behavior, according to Shipnuck’s tome, led to rumors around McIlroy and CBS reporter Amanda Balionis in 2024 that threatened his marriage to Stoll.
Stoll remained by McIlroy’s side, rooting him on as he won The Masters in 2025 and through the Ryder Cup debacle that saw the couple heckled by rowdy fans at Bethpage Black in September.
McIlroy returns to Augusta National as the defending Masters champion, carrying a bit less weight on his shoulders after he ended an 11-year major championship drought, but he told reporters earlier in the week that there was more he wanted to accomplish.
“I think what I’ve realized is, if you can just really find enjoyment in the journey, that’s the big thing, because honestly I felt like the career Grand Slam was my destination, and I got there and then I realized it wasn’t the destination,” he said.
