Make California Post a Preferred Source 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey and his wife, model Olivia Culpo, announced last weekend that they had their second child, a son named Roman, at the end of September.
The birth took place Sept. 29. Culpo, who had a cesarean section, had chosen this date because she knew McCaffrey would be off work that day. It also came in between two 49ers home games, which meant the running back could maximize time spent with his son.
But McCaffrey had to get back to his day job eventually while Culpo was left to recover and deal with their two children.
This has allowed McCaffrey an advantage over his wife, which he spoke to the media about on Thursday.
“Sleep’s great,” McCaffrey said when asked about how he has been sleeping since having his second child, per CBS Sports’ Matt Lively.
“My family is down in LA right now, while my wife is recovering. Coming back up soon. I mean, don’t tell her this: I’m sleeping fantastic,” McCaffrey added with a laugh.
49ers fans can sleep easy knowing that McCaffrey is doing the same.
Culpo, on the other hand, might be a bit bitter about how different her recent rest has been compared with her husband’s.
