MLB fan’s accidental mooning shocks viewers during Rays vs Cubs game

A fan at the Cubs vs. Rays game Tuesday suffered a wardrobe malfunction, and unfortunately for the spectator, the regrettable moment was entirely viewable on the matchup’s broadcast.

The shocking scene unfolded in the top of the ninth of the tilt at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., when Matt Shaw was at bat trying to tack on to Chicago’s seven-run lead.

Their bare butt was then exposed to not only those sitting in the crowd — but to everyone viewing at home.

One of the game’s announcers asked, “Everybody OK down there?” before the broadcast went silent for around 30 seconds.

Chicago ended up winning, 9–2, though the action on the diamond was hardly the most-talked about topic from the game on social media on Tuesday night.
