Nvidia (NVDA:NASDAQ) and Apple each committed $25 million to President Donald Trump's planned White House ballroom, according to a Washington Post report on Thursday.

The report showed total private donations of $333 million for the project.

Others gave $25 million too, including the Adelson family and Dish Network co-founder Charles Ergen. Lockheed Martin, Microsoft and Palantir each gave $10 million. The president is not on the donor list, per the Post.

Nvidia said it was proud to support a nonpartisan trust, and a spokesperson said its support for the U.S. is independent of any business interests.

The White House said it will not release donor details.

Watchdog groups say the secrecy raises questions about donor influence. The Post said half the money came from companies or executives with federal contracts.

$25 million is tiny compared with Nvidia's size, so the donation alone is unlikely to move Nvidia stock much.

In Q2, revenue hit $96 billion, more than double last year.

Data center sales rose 18% from the prior quarter to $89 billion.

Management guided Q3 revenue to $108 billion, plus or minus 2%.

It expects about 70% revenue growth next fiscal year, limited by supply.

Nvidia also returned a record $26 billion to shareholders in Q2.

Nvidia stock faces risks beyond this headline as memory costs are rising fast.

Management expects gross margin to fall to 71%-72% in Q4 and also said it has no China data center revenue in its outlook.

And some critics call its investments in AI labs "circular financing," which Nvidia disputes.

The CEO said demand far outpaces supply. For now, Nvidia stock rests on AI spending, not on the ballroom story.

The reputational risk is worth watching if scrutiny grows.
