EQX Labs is moving to bring tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds to Hyperliquid (CRYPTO: $HYPE), promising traders no issuer fees in a bid to make the decentralized exchange a leading marketplace for U.S equities.
Tokenized stocks are digital tokens designed to track the price of a real share and trade on blockchain exchanges around the clock.
As noted by Crowdfund Insider, the roll out is set to include tokens for Apple (NASDAQ: $AAPL), Nvidia (NASDAQ: $NVDA), Tesla (NASDAQ: $TSLA) and SpaceX (NASDAQ: $SPCX), along with funds that track the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100.

In a post on X from EQX earlier this week, the firm says cost is its key competitive advantage. Traders will pay only Hyperliquid's standard trading fee, and EQX earns its revenue from a share of that fee. The result, the company says, is no charge to create, redeem or hold the tokens and no cut of dividends.
The firm argues that issuers who simply move their tokens onto Hyperliquid "stack fees on top of fees." Its rivals there include xStocks, from Kraken parent Payward, which arrived in August, and Dinari, which launched a SpaceX token in June.
Each token is backed by real shares, according to EQX. The U.S. brokerages Alpaca Securities, StoneX Financial and Clear Street hold them, and a public dashboard will show what is in custody, including shares still settling, which are due by the next U.S. business day.
Dividends are automatically reinvested in more of the same stock, and holders can give voting instructions by signing with their crypto wallets. Direct dividend payments are planned once Hyperliquid completes a proposed upgrade.
The tokens will not be offered to people in the United States or residents of the British Virgin Islands.
EQX is now recruiting approved trading firms and distribution partners. It says it hopes traders will also use the tokens as collateral for loans or place them in Hyperliquid's investment vaults.
Trading is scheduled to open soon, though no date has been set.
