Olympics figure skating wraps up with the exhibition gala — How to watch Alysa Liu, Ilia Malinin, more

Now that all of the figure skating medals have been awarded, it’s time to have some fun.

Every medalist from the individual figure skating events, plus a few more big names within the sport, are confirmed to be skating in this year’s 2.5-hour Olympic gala, which is set for today, Feb. 21.

A long-standing tradition in the world of figure skating, nearly all major competitions end with an invitation-only exhibition gala, where skaters are given an opportunity to show off their personality and creativity by performing exhibition routines where the traditional rulebook does not apply. The lights are dimmed, props are allowed and some skaters may even debut brand new programs this afternoon.

Despite missing the individual podiums, Team USA skaters Amber Glenn and Ilia Malinin will perform exhibition programs today. We’ll even see Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea as they were part of Team USA’s gold medal-winning squad in the team event.

Of course, ice dance silver medalists Madison Chock and Evan Bates will also represent the USA in the gala alongside newly minted Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu.

Italian figure skating icon and 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Carolina Kostner will open the exhibition with a special program and the full Italian figure skating team from the Milano-Cortina Games are scheduled to appear as representatives of the host nation.

The figure skating exhibition gala at the Olympics 2026 begins at 2 p.m. ET today, Feb. 21.

If you want to watch the full exhibition gala live, we recommend streaming it with a Peacock subscription.

Peacock currently offers two subscription types: Premium with ads and Premium Plus ad-free. Peacock Premium costs $10.99/month, while Premium Plus costs $16.99/month.

You can also save a bit by subscribing to one of Peacock’s annual plans, which give you 12 months for the price of 10. These cost either $109.99 with ads or $169.99 without ads.

You can also utilize a DIRECTV five-day free trial to watch the women’s curling semifinals on USA Network.
