NYC teen randomly slashed by masked stranger on subway in terrifying morning commute attack

A masked stranger randomly slashed a 15-year-old boy multiple times across the face during a terrifying morning commute attack on a Queens subway, cops and sources said Tuesday.

The boy was riding a Manhattan-bound A train passing through the Rockaways around 7:15 a.m. on Monday, March 30 when the menace suddenly knifed him repeatedly, authorities said.

The attacker – believed to be between 15 and 18 years old himself – then got off the train at the Broad Channel Station and fled, cops said.

The young victim was taken by responding EMS workers to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in stable condition, police said.

A photo released by the NYPD on Monday showed the slender suspect, described as having a dark complexion and brown eyes, bundled up in a black winter coat, wearing a blue surgical mask, blue jeans and black shoes.

The attack closed out a month that the NYPD said brought a 1% dip in crime on the rails.

The decline marked a hopeful trend after January and February brought an upward bump in subway crime – as cold weather policies prevented officers from booting rule-breaking passengers from the subways.
