Country star Ray Stevens was “briefly hospitalized in the Nashville area” after suffering a fall that left him with a broken neck.
The Grammy winner suffered the accident on Sunday, according to a press release obtained by People.
Stevens, 87, is currently in recovery and has been advised by doctors to wear a neck brace for “approximately four weeks.”
“Despite the injury, he remains fully mobile and in good spirits as he continues his recovery,” the release continued.
Stevens’ upcoming album, “Favorites Old & New,” which is set to release on Friday, remains on track for its debut.
