Misty Copeland uses this serum almost every day: ‘Really good for any imperfections and impurities’

The recently retired ballet icon recently shared her entire beauty routine with the Cut — including the Sunday Riley Good Genes All-in-One Lactic Acid Treatment she uses nearly every day.

“I find that it’s really good for any imperfections and impurities,” she said, noting that she slathers some on “almost five days a week.”

She’s hardly alone in her love for the exfoliating and brightening treatment; Paige DeSorbo’s name-checked Good Genes over the years, while Oprah called it part of her “go-to beauty regimen” — along with the brand’s Ceramic Slip Cleanser — on her 2018 “Favorite Things” list.

Drew Barrymore’s beauty routine also includes Good Genes, as she once wrote on Instagram, “I’ve been using this product one to two times a week at night and love the results!”

Amazon reviewers are impressed, too, given the product has a nearly perfect 4.6-star average out of over 3,000 reviews.

“I have tried to find a dupe for this so many times and the truth is, it doesn’t exist,” one satisfied shopper wrote. “This is the only product that brightens my skin, evens out my complexion and minimizes my pours. It’s one step skincare.”

Copeland’s “very regimented” beauty and wellness routine also includes Merit Great Skin Double Cleanse Face Wash — which she uses both day and night — and Aveeno Skin Relief Healing Ointment, a multipurpose salve she says her husband and son also swear by.

When it comes to makeup, she’s a fan of several luxe Chanel products — including Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint, which she swears “makes you look bright and awake” sans foundation.

And while her routine has evolved a lot over the course of her storied career, the star ballerina says she’s recently returned to a former signature scent: Creed Acqua Fiorentina.

“It’s one of my favorites,” she says. “It was my scent over 10 years ago, and I just started wearing it again.”
