Digi Power X Inc (NASDAQ:DGXX, FRA:1NQ0, NEO:DGX) is using Super Micro Computer Inc (NASDAQ:SMCI) servers built around Nvidia's latest Blackwell chips to sell AI computing capacity to enterprise customers, according to a Supermicro case study.

The company owns and operates the infrastructure behind its NeoCloudz platform, from power generation and substations to Tier III data centers. NeoCloudz rents GPU capacity on dedicated bare-metal servers, with no virtualization layer and no sharing of hardware among customers. The servers can be hosted at a Digi Power X facility or installed at a customer's site.

Digi Power X deployed Supermicro systems with Nvidia B200 and B300 GPUs, liquid cooling and Supermicro management software, the case study highlighted.

Supermicro said it wanted hardware that could handle both large-scale AI training and real-time inference.

The company said its ownership of power assets, including substations and on-site generation, sets it apart from traditional cloud providers. It said GPU rental rates reflect its actual power costs rather than the margins charged by those providers. It also said liquid-cooled, high-density racks fit more computing into less floor space, which lowers the cost per GPU-hour passed on to customers. As a result, Digi Power X said, it can offer Blackwell compute at rates traditional providers can't match.

Scalability was another priority. Digi Power X said it aims to add capacity in weeks rather than years, without large upfront capital outlays at each stage of growth.

For orchestration and billing, the company integrated three Supermicro software products: SuperCloud Composer, SuperCloud Developer Experience and SuperCloud Director. They give customers visibility into their workloads and automated, metered billing.

The data center environment includes high-density GPU rack rows with per-cabinet power monitoring, hot-aisle containment, expansion-ready room layouts and rack-level environmental sensing.

"DigiPowerX was built on the conviction that the AI infrastructure market needed a fundamentally different model — one where the operator controls the full stack, from power to compute, and passes those structural advantages directly to customers," said Alec Amar, president of Digi Power X.

"Supermicro has been a critical partner in executing that vision, giving us access to the latest NVIDIA Blackwell hardware and the software tooling to manage it at scale. The result is a platform we are proud to be already running in production for enterprise AI customers today."

The platform is already running in production for enterprise customers, the case study said.
