With the naked dress still dominating red carpets everywhere, stars need functional underthings to match their less-is-more looks. Enter Stringys, an innovative thong that won’t show, even underneath the most see-through styles.
“It looks like the smallest little thing, but it took us about two and a half years to perfect this product because it’s so extremely difficult to make,” model Olivia Karina, who founded the brand alongside personal trainer Elvira Troger, tells Page Six Style.
While the business started out as a personal mission to help the pair avoid going commando on set or getting dreaded panty lines in leggings, the friends quickly realized they’d stumbled upon a universal fashion solution — especially once Simone Biles and Megan Fox both wore their itty-bitty creation, which features slim, clear straps that comfortable adhere to the skin.
“[Fox] wore it for the cover of Sports Illustrated,” Karina recalls. “They Photoshopped her naked, but she had to have something on set.”
In addition to appearing on “Shark Tank” (where Barbara Corcoran promptly invested), Stringys has also found its way into the kits of several star stylists — including Dani Michelle, who dresses Hailey Bieber.
“[Bieber and Kendall Jenner] were going on a trip together,” the founders explain, saying they received a call saying, “Hailey needs the box to her house [tonight].”
In the time since, the invisible undies have become red carpet essentials; at the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party alone, Bella Hadid, Olandria Carthen and Alessandra Ambrosio all wore the brand’s barely-there G-strings.

She’s worn the company’s hero product with countless daring outfits, including during her headlining Coachella set.
“She’s obsessed with Stringys,” Troger says. “She’s like, ‘Where are my Stringys?'”
“She was dancing in the mud and we were like, ‘This is such a good testament to how they perform,'” Karina adds, joking: “Cover your Doja cat!”

“What started as red carpet and models … we realized you need it all the time,” says Karina, noting she also swears by the thongs for wearing linen looks, all-white outfits and workout gear.
“All the stylists always reach out and say that it’s mandatory and a lifesaver,” the founders say of their invention, quipping, “What other brand is every single person wearing where we could literally touch everyone’s butts at every awards show?”
