The Huskies are undefeated this season, looking dominant every step of the way in their 38-0 start, with their tightest win coming in a 72-69 victory over then-No. 6 Michigan in November.
South Carolina comes in as a 6.5-point underdog at Fanatics Sportsbook as UConn looks to just roll through the competition this season and easily win another national title.
Geno Auriemma’s group has an absurd 38.4-point margin of victory this season, with many games often over by the third quarter.
Forward Sarah Strong leads them as the Naismith Player of the Year.
South Carolina isn’t a pushover by any means, as it boasts a powerful frontcourt led by Joyce Edwards and Madina Okot, who bring size and rebounding that could be troubling for the Huskies.
Those two will essentially need to dominate the paint in order to pull off the upset.
Easier said than done, though, as the Gamecocks have shown flaws in losses to Texas (twice) and Oklahoma this season.

If South Carolina can prevent turnovers, it can win this game with a strong half-court offense and physical style.

UConn has the depth advantage, though, and we haven’t really seen any weaknesses from UConn since November.
I’ll take the Huskies to win this one and and then the championship game, where they will face the winner of Texas vs. UCLA in the other Final Four clash.
