Tyreek Hill found liable on two battery counts in divorce battery case, must pay Lakeeta Vaccaro $500,000

Video NFL Media Runs COVER For Josh Jacobs After BASHING Jaxson Dart | Don't @ Me w/ Dan Dakich When New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Donald Trump at a rally, media figures like Jemele Hill, Bomani Jones, and Dan Le Batard rushed to blast him on air. Yet, as Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs faced domestic abuse allegations and subsequent charges, those same critics offered deafening silence.

A jury found former NFL player Tyreek Hill liable for two separate incidents of battery against his wife Lakeeta Vaccaro and awarded her $500,000 in compensatory damages at the conclusion of their battery divorce trial on Tuesday.

The same Miami-Dade County jury that found Hill liable on the two counts of battery also found him not liable on five other counts of battery against Vaccaro, not liable on one count of assault, not liable on one count of committing intentional emotional distress against Vaccaro, and not liable on one count of continuing domestic violence against Vaccaro.

Vaccaro's lawyers had earlier on Tuesday also agreed to the dismissal of another count of battery.

So Hill, in the eyes of the court, emerges from this trial looking like a spouse who did on two occasions batter his wife per the preponderance of the evidence. But the same standard of preponderance of the evidence found he did not batter or assault Vaccaro tied to six other counts.

And while Hill is paying a half-million-dollar price for his battery, the judgment falls well short of expectations the plaintiff may have carried into the start of the trial.

This, however, does not get Hill off the hook if he expects to continue his NFL career.

Hill, who had planned to return to the NFL as early as next month and has been tied to rumors of re-joining the Kansas City Chiefs, is the subject of an ongoing NFL review under the Personal Conduct Policy.

And that review will surely study the accounts on which Hill was judged to have battered Vaccaro.

On January 11, 2024, Vaccaro said Hill demanded she sign a postnuptial agreement, a request that both parties agreed was at the heart of many of their disagreements during the trial.

Vaccaro accused Hill of becoming angry and aggressive, "throwing plaintiff's clothing and personal belongings around the room."

Hill, the charge states, then "intentionally and without plaintiff's consent, violently pushed and shoved plaintiff, knocking her to the floor, standing over her and cornered her ..."

Vaccaro said Hill knowingly strangled her "by applying pressure to plaintiff's throat or neck and/by blocking plaintiff's nose or mouth ..."

The next incident the jury found Hill liable for occurred on April 7, 2025, when the couple was in their Sunny Isle, Florida condominium.

Vaccaro claimed Hill put his hands on her, shoved her, forcibly restrained her and threw her computer.

"As a direct and proximate result of defendant's conduct, plaintiff sustained physical injuries ...," the suit against Hill maintained. The jury agreed on this count as well.
