They’re heading back out East, hopefully with better luck.
The team behind Maison Close — 3rd Space Hospitality’s Cole Bernard, Theliau Probst, Thibaut Castet, Yosi Benvenisti, and Benny Silman — will be opening an outpost of their popular Soho restaurant Maison Close in Southampton at the Capri Hotel, says a source.
This isn’t the first time the group has tried to bring the hotspot to the Hamptons.
They were set to open in Montauk in 2023, but burned down the day before their Memorial Day opening.
“We are sorry to announce that last night a fire claimed Maison Close Montauk last night,” they said in a statement at the time.
The original Parisian cabaret-style restaurant is a favorite amongst celebrities and recently hosted Millie Bobby Brown’s 22nd birthday with husband Jake Bongiovi and the Bach Mai New York Fashion Week show.
We’re told the spot out East will bring the same vibe and is slated to open in June. A source tells us they’ll also be taking over food and beverage for the hotel’s pool..
The group, which also runs city spots Ayah and Petite, had better luck with their Hamptons’ restaurant Talya, which originally debuted at Ruschmeyer’s in 2023.
This year we hear it has a new home. A source tells us the restaurant will open on Memorial Day in a new beachfront location just below the group’s own Bounce Beach.
Bounce is also known to bring in celebs, as well as influencers. Alix Earle, Tinx, model Sailor Brinkley Cook, and “The Bachelor” stars Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell have been seen there.
Other spots slated to open this summer include Jean’s in the former Old Stove space in Sagaponack and Camp Rubisorsa in East Hampton.
