Make New York Post a Preferred Source The Tampa Bay Rays no longer sport a perfect record in the 2026 MLB postseason.
Last night, Drew Rasmussen, Yandy Díaz and Junior Caminero battled hard in Game 1 of the ALCS and seemed to be in command through five innings — but fell 7-3 to the visiting Cleveland Guardians and José Ramirez, Chase DeLauter and Nathaniel Lowe’s mighty bats.
At 8 p.m. ET, they’ll attempt to get revenge and make the most of their home field advantage at Tropicana Field in Game 2.
Tampa Bay is sending Freddy Peralta (10-11, 4.42 ERA) to the hill; Parker Messick (12-9, 2.56 ERA) starts for Cleveland.
“I’m not expecting another high-scoring game this time around,” Sports Illustrated predicted about tonight’s battle in St. Petersburg.
“This should be a good pitching matchup and a lower-scoring game in Tampa Bay.”
Don’t miss out on this duel. Both teams are out for blood.
