Jif, the iconic peanut butter brand that’s a staple to many homes, is adding to its product lineup with a brand-new, first-of-its-kind flavor, AllRecipes reported.
A new crunchy version of their fan-favorite Peanut Butter & Chocolate Spread, complete with roasted peanut chunks, is set to hit shelves.
The beloved flavor combines the taste of peanut butter with chocolate. Jif released the original Peanut Butter & Chocolate Spread back in 2024 as a creamy spread.
With the new crunchy version, Jif delivers the same taste but with a crunchy aspect with the peanut chunks in every bite.
“Jif Peanut Butter & Chocolate Flavored Spread combines the irresistible deliciousness of Jif Peanut Butter that our fans love with the sweet flavor of chocolate, striking the perfect balance of salty and sweet,” Nicole Massey, Vice President of Marketing at the J.M. Smucker Co., said in a statement at the time.
“It’s lower in sugar, making it a permissible indulgence that can transform a simple snack into a mouthwatering treat in no time at all.”
The new spread is made with 50% less sugar than its competitor, Nutella hazelnut spread, as well as about 50% less sugar than Nutella Peanut.
Jif’s new spread contains 8g of total sugars per serving, according to the product site, while Nutella contains 21g of total sugars per serving. Both brands classify a serving as two tablespoons.
Jif Chunky Peanut Butter & Chocolate Spread will officially arrive this spring to major retailers across the country, AllRecipes said.
The product is currently available to view on the Jif website, though there’s no way to order it at the moment. The Post has reached out to Jif for clarification.
