Preorder Messi, Ronaldo, and more as LEGOs ahead of the 2026 World Cup

New York Post Composite The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off in just 70 days and ahead of kick off, LEGO has announced seven new sets that reimagine some of the game’s most iconic players in brick form.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Vini Jr. all appear in new “Soccer Highlights” sets from the LEGO Editions collection, which also includes other World Cup sets like the already-on-sale World Cup Trophy and the official World Cup soccer ball. All four players have been turned into minifigures for the first time.

“We wanted to capture the essence of some of today’s greatest football players, and honour what makes them special, sparking imagination and excitement in kids and families worldwide.” Julia Goldin, chief product and marketing officer for the LEGO Group, said in a press release announcing the new collection.

All seven of the newly announced sets begin shipping on May 1, but you can preorder now from Amazon and LEGO directly. Prices for the collection range from $29.99 to $199.99.

Construct a scene with a base that includes Ronaldo’s initials and number, the colors of the Portuguese national team, a plaque with stats and a signature, with more easter eggs to his career throughout.

French superstar Kylian Mbappé’s LEGO scene includes his minifigure, a plaque with stats and a signature and the colors of the French national team.

In the press release announcing the set, Mbappé said: “This LEGO set tells part of my story, but above all it captures the energy and creativity that make this sport so special.”

The first of three Lionel Messi sets debuting today is this 500-piece one that includes his initial, the colors of Argentina’s national team, his iconic number 10 and a collectible plaque with player stats.

This 510-piece set constructs a scene with Vini Jr.’s iconic number 7, details including the colors of the Brazilian national team and a minifigure in goal scoring position.

Vini Jr. said this about his upcoming LEGO collaboration: “Football is all about passion and creativity, and seeing my style captured in LEGO bricks is truly exciting.”

Messi, who noted he is “thrilled for fans to explore the magic of football through these sets and together celebrate the sport we all love,” in a press release, is the star of the biggest set of this new collection. Made to be displayed, this wall art piece features Messi’s signature victory pose (note you’ll even build his tattoos!) and an abstract blue and green background representing the pitch and the sky.

At 848 pieces, this LEGO set is a bit of a choose your own adventure. You’ll be able to pick between building Ronaldo in his signature “Siuuu” victory pose or create an action scene where he’s performing his iconic bicycle kick.

Ronaldo shared his excitement for the upcoming collection in a release, stating: “It’s not every day you get to be transformed into a LEGO set! I’m incredibly honoured to be part of this new lineup of LEGO Editions, alongside three other incredible players in the sport.”

Will you choose Messi’s victory pose or a dynamic pose that shows him dribbling the ball across the pitch. Either way, the model will be complimented with a background featuring Messi’s number 10 and the blue and white colors of the Argentinean flag.
