Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is exploring ways to pair its Leo satellite broadband service with Prime memberships, potentially using its existing customer base to compete with SpaceX's (SPCX) Starlink.
The company plans to begin providing satellite internet before the end of 2026, but has not confirmed whether bundled subscriptions will be available at launch. Amazon has produced more than 1,000 satellites, with 396 deployed in orbit, as it develops a network intended to reach approximately 3,200 spacecraft.

Potential offerings could combine connectivity with Prime Video or eero Wi-Fi equipment. Amazon Leo executive Chris Weber told Ars Technica that the company is examining ways to integrate its services, although package details and pricing remain undecided. Its hardware lineup includes a premium Leo Ultra antenna capable of download speeds of up to one gigabit per second.
Building the network remains a major challenge. Amazon has arranged more than 100 launches through several providers and can manufacture about 27 satellites weekly. Regulatory delays have complicated deployment, with the final deadline set for July 30, 2029. Delta Air Lines (DAL) plans to introduce Leo-powered onboard Wi-Fi in 2028.
Wall Street analysts have a Strong Buy consensus on Amazon, with an average price target of $331, based on 41 Buy ratings and two Holds.
