Trump held the rally in Youngstown, Ohio, just hours after federal agents executed a search warrant on Omar's home in relation to a criminal investigation.

Trump took aim at Omar and the wider Somali community in Minnesota.

"She's a disaster. She comes in from a country without laws, without police, without military. All they do is shoot each other, and she comes into our country and she says, 'I have a constitutional right,'" Trump joked. "She's got a constitutional right. She's telling us about the Constitution and she's coming from one of the worst countries anywhere on the planet."

He then targeted "savage Somali gang members" who opened fire at a Minnesota high school's homecoming event last week, going on to reference the FBI's arrest of another Somali immigrant who was allegedly planning an ISIS-style attack on the Mall of America.

"They come from a part of the world that only knows how to kill each other. All they do is kill each other in the streets, and they come into the United States of America and they tell us how to run our country," he added.

Two sources close to the investigation told Fox News Digital the search of Omar's home stemmed from a criminal fraud investigation into the Somali-born congresswoman's immigration paperwork, which was filled out by her late father.

"Today in the Washington, D.C., area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice. This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal investigation," a DOJ spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

The DOJ later added that the investigation was "criminal" in nature.

HSI is the principal investigative arm of DHS. Its scope includes investigating cross-border crime and global threats, including human trafficking and child sexual exploitation, drug smuggling and cybercrime. HSI plays a major front-line role in America’s counterterrorism operations.
