Yoshinobu Yamamoto ‘Yoshi’ bobbleheads reach eye-watering prices on resale market

Those in search of Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s Nintendo-themed bobbleheads better make sure their wallets are powered up.

Several of the special collectibles — which featured Super Mario character Yoshi and were given away at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday night — have made their way to the resale market, and the asking prices for the pieces are jaw dropping.

According to several new listings on eBay, fans are seeking around $300 for the Yamamato keepsake.

The bobblehead was doled out to the first 40,000 people who showed up to Chavez Ravine for the Dodgers’ tilt with the Guardians.

The trinket shows Yoshi in a No. 18 Yamamoto jersey and a blue LA hat. It was part of a promotion for the upcoming “Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” which debuted in theaters on Wednesday.

Dodgers supporters flocked to the stadium en masse to get their hands on the keepsake, with massive lines forming as early as three hours before first pitch.

Stanley and Ana Leighton told The California Post at the stadium they actually paid a whopping $160 each for tickets in the reserve level just so they could get the bobblehead.

“I’m a huge Nintendo fan,” he said. “Mainly grew up playing the Super Nintendo games, all those Marios and Zeldas — all that stuff. Definitely Yoshi bobblehead night got me coming out here.”

Given what prices look like now for the souvenir, seems like they and 39,998 others got quite a deal.
