Join host Andrew Bustamante, an ex-CIA officer, as he talks with renowned experts to explore the shadowy world of mind control in the series’ premiere episode. Following the failed attempt on Trump’s life at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania in July 2024, conspiracy theories erupted online claiming the gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was a mind-controlled assassin.
With the help of mentalist Max Major, Bustamante will investigate the origins of this shocking theory, tracing it back to the CIA’s infamous MK-Ultra experiments.
Joined by Michael Evans, editorial director of the National Security Archive, Bustamante and Major will leave no stone unturned to get to the bottom of the conspiracy, and will even conduct a real-world experiment to answer once and for all whether hypnosis can push an ordinary person to carry out an assassination plot.
The unexpected results force Bustamante to confront just how powerful suggestion, authority and belief can really be.
Tune in every week as Bustamante and expert guests peer behind the curtain to explore questions the powers that be would rather go unanswered.
The all-new series premieres Wednesday, April 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery Channel.
