Natasha Lyonne, Grimes bolt from ‘Schitt’s Creek’ star’s A-list party after just 10 minutes

When brilliant “Schitt’s Creek” creator Dan Levy previewed his latest project — Netflix’s crime comedy series “Big Mistakes” — at LA’s hottest restaurant on Monday night, a couple of the A-list guests were merely pop-bys.

A spy told Page Six Hollywood: “When Natasha Lyonne and Grimes walked in [to Max & Helen’s] together, once they saw that seats were being set-up for a conversation, they bolted out.” The source said the duo — who apparently had other things to discuss — left after 10 mins.

But another insider told us of the move: “Natasha, with Grimes, stopped by for a bit because she’s friends with Dan,” adding of the pair, “they were just stopping by, as others did to congratulate and say hi to Dan. Definitely not rude.”

Either way, leave it to a Real Housewife to be the life of the party…

Those staying for the fun included Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, who “chatted for a long time with Dan,” a source said. “Lisa was also chatting for a bit with [Levy’s co-star in the new show] Rachel Sennott — who’s friendly with Lisa’s daughter.” (We’ll just have to guess if that means model Delilah Belle or model Amelia Gray.)

“Rachel and Dan’s Q&A was great and very funny… they laughed about how they met while working together on [Sam Levinson and The Weeknd’s 2023 HBO series] ‘The Idol,’ discussed how they co-wrote the first draft of the [‘Big Mistakes’] pilot together in one day and dug into all things surrounding [the new show],” we hear. “There was lots of laughter through the room.”

Lyonne is directing a movie for AI production studio Asteria while Elon Musk‘s ex, Grimes, has previously invited creators to use AI-generated versions of her voice to make music. Their reps, real or otherwise, did not respond.

PS: Sometimes staying at a weird thing can be fun. Once when I worked at Variety, Willa Paskin, now the host of Slate podcast “Decoder Ring,” and I walked into a local bar after work and were bummed to learn the whole place was taken over by a trivia night. We decided to stay and won, and my oddly encyclopedic knowledge of obscure dog breeds paid off for once.
