California’s worst skateboarding criminal busted in hilarious security footage

Make California Post a Preferred Source A thief’s attempt to escape on a skateboard after stealing expensive tools from vans in California ended in an embarrassing video.

The hilarious security camera footage of the Sept. 24 incident shows 35-year-old Marc Marino stealing tools worth $1,400 from a plumbing van at around 2 a.m. in Vacaville, Solano County.

He then held all of the stolen items in his hands and tried to flee, but his skateboard didn’t cooperate with him. Marino hit two vehicles, parked parallel to each other, before falling to the ground, the video shows.

A Vacaville resident saw some suspicious individuals on scooters in her neighborhood and tried to confront them, but they took off, and a car was heard speeding away, authorities said. She quickly alerted the cops.

“An officer checked the area and found a large pipe wrench lying in the roadway,” the Vacaville police department said.

Moments later, a community service officer responded to the report of tools stolen from a nearby work vehicle. The preliminary investigation into the theft revealed that Marino had been on probation and was on search terms.

Officers, who went to his home for a probation compliance search, recovered the stolen tools from his residence, authorities said.

Police officers recovered a Milwaukee portable band saw, a Milwaukee Sawzall, “along with additional property believed to be stolen.”

Marino was booked into the Solano County Jail on multiple felony charges related to theft, conspiracy, and violation of probation.
