YouTuber Jiang Xueqin's book deal with Crown Publishing has allegedly come to an abrupt end. Adobe Stock Did he see this one coming?
A book source tells us that Crown Publishing inked a book deal with Canadian-Chinese Internet “prophet” Jiang Xueqin, but that the deal fell through just as quickly.
Said an insider: “Crown — publishers of Barack and Michelle Obama — just signed up a book by Jiang Xueqin, the YouTuber who gained fame for predicting Trump‘s election and the Iran war, and then canceled it almost immediately when new reports on his conspiracy theories came to light.”
The Yale-educated Jiang, who has 1.95 million followers on YouTube, has been dubbed “China’s Nostradamus” for some of his spot-on predictions, like how President Trump would pick JD Vance as his running mate, and the Iran conflict.
But earlier this month, Bari Weiss‘ The Free Press posted a piece calling the Ivy League prof a “conspiracy theorist,” and writing about some out-there ideology he allegedly expressed on a popular podcast, “Breaking Points” with Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti.
Crown did not immediately get back to us, and we’ve reached out to Jiang Xueqin via his Instagram account. Stay tuned!
