Nadja Sayej / BACKGRID A Clavicular documentary appears to be in the works at Hulu. Much to the dismay of Clavicular.
Sources tell Page Six Hollywood that the most-discussed streamer of the moment sent a sternly worded cease-and-desist letter to Hulu, and the general counsel of Disney, after a pair of Hulu documentarians tried to crash the Feb. 12 Elena Velez fashion show in New York and capture footage of the 20-year-old looksmaxxing star in his catwalk debut.
A Clavicular documentary appears to be in the works at Hulu. Much to the dismay of Clavicular. Instagram/@clavicular0 Witnesses say producer Jennings Brown and director James Kristofik were milling about backstage and surreptitiously shooting footage before the show started as the models were changing into the designer duds. Braden Peters, better known as Clavicular, recognized Brown and complained, and the guerrilla filmmakers were booted.
It appears that Clavicular, the foremost figure of the bizarre looksmaxxing movement that preaches surgery and drugs be utilized to achieve beauty, has some kind of history with Brown.
It appears that Clavicular, the foremost figure of the bizarre looksmaxxing movement that preaches surgery and drugs be utilized to achieve beauty, has some kind of history with Brown. Instagram/@clavicular0 One source says the two men recently held a meeting over Zoom to discuss collaborating on the documentary, which is being overseen by Beth Osiek, Hulu’s VP of original documentaries and limited series. (Brown, who is repped by WME, signed a first-look deal with Hulu in 2024.)
But Clavicular apparently got cold feet, thus the dust-up at New York Fashion Week. Then again, a lot happened for the Kick streamer after that Zoom. There was an arrest, a viral New York Times profile and a GQ deep dive. He then enlisted Mitchell Jackson, the PR maven for such controversy-prone figures as Candace Owens and YouTube star Brett Cooper.
Reps for Clavicular and Brown declined to comment. A rep for Hulu and Kristofik did not respond to a request for comment. When asked if she wanted to give her take on the fashion show drama, Velez texted, “Nope. Please do not contact this number again.”
Either way, it looks like the definitive looksmaxxing doc will be contested.
