The Bachelorette Season 22 is almost here, and to celebrate the March 22 premiere, Bachelorette leads past officially inducted Taylor Frankie Paul into the franchise family.

On Sunday, March 15, The Bachelorette landed the coveted post-Oscars time slot on ABC to air The Bachelorette: Before the First Rose, a preview of Paul’s upcoming season, which promises to be wildly untraditional.

“I’m also very new to this,” Paul told host Jesse Palmer outside the Bachelor Mansion. “I didn’t get a season before where I kind of got the feel for it. I know nothing.” Thankfully, she had some iconic teachers to help her learn the ropes!

Before the 31-year-old Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star met her 22 contestants, she headed to the Bachelor Mansion to meet Palmer and get some expert advice from 18 former Bachelorette/Golden Bachelorette leads.

Trista Sutter, Meredith Phillips, DeAnna Pappas, Ali Fedotowsky-Manno, Ashley Hebert-Rosenbaum, Emily Maynard-Johnson, Desiree Siegfried, Andi Dorfman-Hart, Kaitlyn Bristowe, JoJo Fletcher, Rachel Lindsay, Becca Kufrin, Hannah Brown-Woolard, Tayshia Adams, Katie Thurston, Rachel Recchia, Charity Lawson, and Joan Vassos assembled at their old stomping grounds in matching red sweatsuits. They spent the day reminiscing on their Bachelorette experiences and lifting Paul up ahead of her own. And let’s just say the single mother of three made quite an impression…

“I am obsessed with Taylor. I think she’s so perfect for this, because she doesn’t really know what she’s doing, and I love that. I think that’s what’s going to make her so lovable,” Season 15 lead Brown-Woolard said.

While chatting with leads past, Paul asked burning questions about everything from hookup etiquette and how to tell if men are there for the right reasons, to navigating feelings for multiple people and more.

Bachelorette Season 11 lead Kaitlyn Bristowe admitted she “did a few things wrong,” like having sex with a man before Fantasy Suites. Brown-Woolard recalled her iconic rose ceremony podium move and legendary “I fucked in a windmill” moment. And Rachel Lindsay, The Bachelorette Season 13 lead who finalized her divorce from winner Bryan Abasolo in 2025, shared how difficult it was to break her runner up’s heart.

“I admire all the women that stood before me,” Paul told cameras. “Stepping into this role as Bachelorette will be new for me. There’s a lot of unknowns. I’m scared.”

The Season 22 lead opened up about her fears, which included potentially getting her heart broken at the end of the journey. And though she had no prior Bachelor franchise experience, from the looks of her season preview that aired at the end of the special, she had no trouble playing by her own rules and searching for love on her terms.

While the preview showed lots of love, we also got a taste of the inevitable drama to come. We saw Paul taking back roses, asking a man if he thought he thought he could actually date a mom, and even referencing her ex.

So buckle up for what’s sure to be a wild ride, staring March 22 on ABC.

The Bachelorette Season 22 premieres Sunday, March 22 on ABC with next-day streaming on Hulu.
