President Donald Trump has threatened to get the Strait of Hormuz opened "one way or another" and has called on a number of countries including France, the United Kingdom and China to send ships to the area to overcome Iran's blockade on the vital trade artery. It comes as global oil supplies are skyrocketing and supply continues to be strangled with Iran blockading the strait and targeting the Gulf's energy infrastructure in retaliation to US strikes.
