Tokenization platform Securitize is bringing a dozen of the biggest U.S. stocks to crypto traders, launching tokenized equities backed one-to-one by real shares, with Solana as the first network.

Announced Wednesday, the new Securitize Stocks product opens with security entitlements to 12 widely held names, including Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Google, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Circle, Strategy and Palantir.

The tokens will initially trade on Securitize's registered broker-dealer platform on Solana, settling in the USDC stablecoin, and will be available to eligible investors in the U.S., the European Union, and other permitted jurisdictions.

What sets the offering apart, the company said, is what sits behind each token. Rather than simply tracking a stock's price, as many offshore tokenized-equity products do, each Securitize Stock is backed one-to-one by an underlying share and represents a security entitlement under the Uniform Commercial Code, preserving investor rights and economic benefits like dividends and, where applicable, voting. The shares backing the tokens won't be lent out, and holders can convert their entitlements into actual registered shares where an issuer supports it.

"Tokenized stocks should give investors more than a price on a wrapper that tracks a stock and is only offered offshore," said Carlos Domingo, Securitize's chairman and CEO, framing the aim as bringing equities onchain "without leaving behind the ownership, investor protections and market infrastructure that make U.S. capital markets work."

Trading infrastructure is still expanding. At launch, liquidity will run through Securitize's Solana-based automated market maker, with Jump Trading serving as market maker and trading available during extended hours before a planned move to 24/7.

The release names a roster of partners, including Ripple Prime and Aave, as the asset becomes usable across onchain lending and collateral markets.

Securitize Begins Trading on NYSE as Tokenized Shares Land on Solana, Avalanche

The launch lands in a fast-accelerating race to put stocks on blockchain networks. Securitize's own shares have traded on Solana since its NYSE listing in July, while the SEC's "innovation exemption" opened a compliant path for tokenized stocks, and rivals from Coinbase to the NYSE and an OKX-ICE venture have moved into the space.

Securitize said its tokens are expected to trade on the NYSE's planned 24/7 venue and the OKX-ICE tokenized-securities venue, though neither has launched.
