Make Page Six a Preferred Source Travis Barker has revealed what led to his recent hospitalization, just one day after sharing photos from his hospital bed that left fans concerned.
“I had surgery yesterday,” the Blink-182 drummer wrote via his Instagram Stories Wednesday. “My arm, hand and fingers have been numb since a show I played last month.”
Barker, 50, noted that he underwent a nerve test on Monday after his show, which revealed he “needed a cubital tunnel release” to fix it.
“I wanted to get ahead of it and get it over with so that I can keep playing the way I play for a long, long time 🥁,” he wrote.
Barker added that he “should be good in a few weeks 💪🏁.”
The drummer shared the update alongside a selfie taken by his wife, Kourtney Kardashian. Barker appeared in a hospital gown and surgical cap as Kardashian, 47, smiled beside him.
“[I’m] not sure why my wife looks so happy about this 😂,” he joked.
The update comes one day after Barker shared photos from his hospital bed via Instagram Stories.
In the first pic, Barked posed for a selfie with daughter Alabama, 20, while dressed in a medical gown and surgical cap.
“My baby girl came with me 🖤,” he captioned the snap.
He also shared a photo of Kardashian kissing him, writing, “And my beautiful wife by my side 🖤.”
In 2023, just before Blink-182 launched their reunion tour, Barker dislocated the ring finger on his left hand while rehearsing with the band.
At the time, he shared a black-and-white photo of the injured finger to his Instagram Stories, captioning it, “F–k.”
He later revealed that he had spent an entire afternoon at a doctor’s office, where he received a scan and an injection to ease the pain.
The following day, Barker offered fans an explanation on Twitter, writing, “I was playing the drums at rehearsals yesterday, and I smashed my finger so hard, I dislocated it and tore the ligaments 🤬.”
Barker was also hospitalized in 2022 after developing “severe, life-threatening pancreatitis” following an endoscopy.

He later addressed the hospitalization on his Instagram Stories, writing, “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.”
He said a “small polyp” was removed during the procedure, but the removal “damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube.”
“I am so very, very grateful that with intensive treatment, I am currently much better,” he wrote.
Barker and Kardashian, who married in 2022, share son Rocky, 2, whom they welcomed in November 2023.
Kardashian also shares son Mason, 16, daughter Penelope, 14, and son Reign, 11, with ex Scott Disick.
Barker, for his part, shares son Landon, 22, daughter Alabama and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 27, with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.
