AP Let’s start off this conversation by reminding everyone of where we are on the calendar.

It’s mid-March, not mid-August or even mid-June. The Jets won’t play a football game that counts for six months. So there’s plenty of time for GM Darren Mougey and coach Aaron Glenn to alter their roster, most notably in next month’s draft, when they have four picks in the top 44.

But the Jets did make major changes to their roster this week in free agency, and it’s fun to ask whether we feel like they are actually better than last year’s team.

It’s not an easy question to answer. On paper, I feel like last year’s team had more talent. Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams were stars in the middle of their primes. Demario Davis and Minkah Fitzpatrick are accomplished football players, but they are on the back end of their careers.
