Dove Cameron Distracts Avan Jogia With Public Alleyway Sex In ‘56 Days’ Steamiest Scene

It was no secret that 56 Days was going to be a steamy, erotic thriller. But the new Prime Video series had so many lies and plenty of twist and turns that will almost make you forget about the passionate love affair at the center of the series.

Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia star in the new series, which is loosely based on the 56 Days book by Catherine Ryan Howard. Ciara (Cameron) meets Oliver (Jogia) by chance in a supermarket, sparking a passionate relationship that meets a tragic end, as evidenced by the decomposing body found in Oliver’s bathtub … you guessed it … 56 days later. But the show jumps between the present day when detectives Karl Connolly (Dorian Missick) and Lee Reardon (Karla Souza) investigate the murder, and weeks prior, when Ciara and Oliver fell more and more in love with each other.

The show features plenty of steamy sex scenes between Cameron and Jogia, who are both completely enchanting on screen. But one scene in particular captures the lengths Ciara will go to con Oliver.

Major spoilers ahead for the ending of 56 Days.

By Episode 2, Oliver is already becoming suspicious of Ciara. It’s actually hilarious to see them both pretend to not be suspicious of each other while kissing in the street. He insists on going to see her place for a change, which causes her to cutely whine in response, “Oh no! But your place is so much better.”

Both characters are trying so hard to play it casual. Oliver insists, “I don’t care, I’m coming over,” before planting a passionate kiss on her. But Ciara takes back control of the situation by dragging Oliver into the alley for some public sex. It’s not enough to change Oliver’s mind, but it does give her some time to think about how to navigate the next step in her plan.

“You’re going to get me arrested!” Oliver tells her. Honey, you have no idea.

They have sex against the wall in broad daylight. Ciara’s almost desperate in the moment, selling it well to Oliver that this is just a moment to passion, and not an attempt at distracting him. The two lovebirds even look like Bonnie and Clyde when they stroll out of the alley together before going their separate ways.

For a moment, Ciara looks almost pleased with herself before she begins panicking about having him over at her apartment. They say nothing bonds people more than committing a crime together, and surely public sex counts, too. For a moment there, you can almost see these sickos think to themselves, “I finally found my partner in crime.” And neither of them has any idea yet just how true that is.

It’s one of the show’s sexiest scenes. There is something authentic in the way they paw at each other in a moment of desperation, all while knowing, as the viewer, that they’re both lying to each other.

Even in this second episode, it’s already become difficult to parse where Ciara ends and Megan begins. But the sex between Ciara and Oliver is so passionate, there’s no ignoring that there’s a real connection there. It could be argued that the sex was entirely unnecessary and instead fueled by pure, unbridled desire, signaling Ciara’s imminent fall for Oliver.

The sex scene in the alley is just a blip in an episode that truly launches Ciara’s diabolical plan of infiltrating Oliver’s life. But it shows just how much Ciara is willing to use her body and her wiles to lure Oliver into a false sense of security, all so she can get what she wants – whether that be something righteous like justice, or more pragmatic, like $100,000 wired to her family.

56 Days is littered with sex scenes, blowjobs, and more. And Ciara may be having conflicting feelings about Oliver. But the sex scenes in 56 Days always make it clear: There are real feelings developing here.
