The series was originally announced as the “next installment from the Yellowstone universe” (and was previously titled 2024 and then Madison, before settling on The Madison), but that’s no longer the case. Paramount revealed that the series is an original new drama that’s not connected to the Dutton family.

So what’s the deal with The Madison?

Starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, the buzzy new series centers on the Clyburn family as they relocate from New York City to Montana’s Madison River Valley. Described as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection,” The Madison boasts an impressive supporting cast that includes Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Matthew Fox, and Will Arnett.

The first three episodes of The Madison premiere Saturday, March 14 at 3:01 a.m. ET on Paramount+.

Season 1 of The Madison consists of six episodes.
