Sonja Morgan blasts ‘higher than mighty’ ‘Golden Life’ cast for ‘bullying’ her when cameras aren’t rolling: ‘It gets annoying’

With Danny and Evan TV exclusive Sonja Morgan blasts ‘higher than mighty’ ‘Golden Life’ cast for ‘bullying’ her when cameras aren’t rolling: ‘It gets annoying’ By Samantha Nungesser Published Oct. 7, 2026, 7:41 p.m. ET Sonja Morgan is still the straw that stirs the drink.

The “Golden Life” star spoke exclusively to Page Six at the 2026 “Virtual Reali-Tea” Awards on Tuesday night, revealing why she doesn’t “go around” her fellow castmates when they are not filming.

“They’re usually sleuthing around to get something on me,” Morgan, 62, claimed. “They’re constantly trying to get info that they can throw up on the show, instead of just being themselves and acting like themselves, and not be higher than mighty.”

The topic came up after Luann de Lesseps claimed in “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th” that Morgan doesn’t show up to gatherings unless “you’re waving $5,000 in front of [her] face.”

But Morgan says that’s because her cast allegedly has intentions of making her “look less than” in front of cameras, based on information they’ve dug up when they’re not filming. She accused them of “bullying,” telling us that it “gets annoying,” which is why she maintains her distance from them outside of the show.

“When I’m not filming, I’m pretty much up to here with the girls who do that,” she said. “Sometimes, I feel like the girls just call me because they want to go where I’m going, or know what I’m knowing, and it doesn’t go that way.”

It’s not clear exactly who Morgan was referring to within her cast, though, during her Golden Kettle Award acceptance speech, she praised the New York Post for fact-checking “unlike some of [her] co-stars,” so it sounds like some drama was brewing behind the scenes.

Morgan, along with de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon, Ramona Singer and Dorinda Medley, will return to the small screen on Oct. 20 when “The Golden Life” premieres on E!.

The show marks the first time the former “Real Housewives of New York City” cast will reunite on screen since the fourth season of “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy” in 2023.

The five women came together this week to celebrate their return to television at the VRT Awards, sponsored by Tri-State Cadillac, CoverGirl, Philo and Kahlúa, where they were honored with the prestiged Golden Kettle Award for their contributions to the world of unscripted television.

Considered the “OGs” of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” the ladies spearheaded the series for 13 seasons from 2008 to 2021.

Ahead of Season 14, Bravo decided to recast the show with an entirely new group of New York women.

While the original cast was given their own season of “Ultimate Girls Trip,” rumors and reports of a full-fledged Bravo spinoff never came to fruition — until E! swept in earlier this year and announced “The Golden Life,” which will follow the group’s luxurious lives in Palm Beach, FL.

The show, which is still weeks away from its premiere date, was already green-lit for additional episodes, filmed this past summer in the Hamptons with “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum Margaret Josephs and “Sex and the City” author Candace Bushnell joining the cast.
