A French officer was killed in a drone attack in Iraq, President Emmanuel Macron said on Friday, amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Earlier the Iran-backed Iraqi group, Ashab Alkahf, warned that French interests in the region were now targets after the arrival of a French aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean.
