Eli Manning ‘selfishly’ wants Arch to be drafted by Jets

Make New York Post a Preferred Source Eli Manning wants to be close to his nephew.

The two-time Super Bowl champion joined Barstool’s “Pardon My Take” podcast this week and was asked where he might want Arch Manning to end up should he enter the 2027 NFL Draft.

“There’s two ways I look at this,” Manning said. “For purely selfish reasons, I wouldn’t mind if he went to the Jets, just because I live right there, I could go to games, I could have dinner with him during the week a little bit. I think it’d be great for him to have some family nearby, so I wouldn’t mind him going to the Jets, being up in New York…that’s just my selfish reasons and I think he could help them.”

Both of his uncles, Eli and Peyton Manning, were selected first overall in their respective drafts before Eli was famously traded to the Giants from the Chargers on draft night.

The two-time Super Bowl champ also settled whether he’d be rooting for his alma mater Ole Miss against Arch’s Texas on Oct. 24 in Austin.

Corey Sipkin for the NY POST “You root for family,” he said. “I’m gonna root for my nephew to win every single game that he plays in, and that’s just the way it is.”

Should Arch indeed become a Jet, he’ll be even closer to the advice of Uncle Eli, which he said he offers here and there while trying not to be overbearing.

“If there’s advice he’s looking for, he knows I’m a text away or a call away,” Eli said.
