Cathie Wood's ARK Invest is leaning further into AI infrastructure, buying roughly $8.5 million of CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) while selling about $7.2 million of Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD). The pair of trades highlights a notable portfolio rotation toward one of the market's fastest-growing AI cloud names, though ARK's Robinhood sale should not automatically be read as a bearish reversal on the trading platform.

ARK bought 97,639 CoreWeave shares through the ARK Innovation ETF and ARK Next Generation Internet ETF. The purchase came after CoreWeave's Fully Connected 2026 event, where the company introduced Forge, a platform aimed at helping customers develop and optimize AI models and agents.
CoreWeave also made Nvidia's Vera Rubin NVL72 systems available through its cloud platform, extending its exposure to the next generation of accelerated-computing infrastructure.
Analysts have responded positively. Rosenblatt's John McPeake carries a Buy rating and a Street-high $250 price target, citing CoreWeave's positioning across open- and closed-source AI workloads and its ability to raise prices as demand remains strong. Compass Point's Michael Donovan also reiterated a Buy rating with a $150 target.
Wall Street's average target implies roughly 55% upside for CRWV.
At the same time, ARK sold 63,466 Robinhood shares through ARKK and ARKW, worth about $7.2 million. HOOD still carries a Strong Buy consensus, with its average price target implying roughly 23% upside.
For CoreWeave, investors should watch utilization rates, pricing power, backlog conversion and whether new platforms such as Forge deepen customer spending beyond raw GPU capacity.
The main risk is that extraordinary AI infrastructure demand cools before CoreWeave's capital-intensive model produces consistently strong free cash flow.
For Robinhood, ARK's sale matters less than the broader operating trends. Investors should focus on funded-account growth, trading activity, net interest revenue and crypto volumes.
Most importantly, ARK's trade looks more like a capital-allocation decision than a clear verdict that one stock is fundamentally superior to the other.
