Julianne Hough sparkled like a mirrorball in Mariah Carey’s dress for ‘Dancing with the Stars’ tribute night

Make Page Six a Preferred Source Julianne Hough and this dress belong together.

In honor of Tuesday night’s “Dancing with the Stars” Mariah Carey tribute night, the host paid her own homage to the singer.

Hough chose a sparkling minidress from Carey’s own past, sharing the story of her look on Instagram pre-show while sitting in the makeup chair.

She wore a Roberto Cavalli silver banded dress featured a skin-tight silhouette, plunging neckline and cutout back that Carey wore while performing at the Time 100 Most Influential People Gala in New York City in 2008.

Hough also shared a carrousel of pics on social media, writing, “Thanks @mariahcarey, it’s your 2008 @roberto_cavalli 🦋.”

She and stylist Brad Goreski actually found the piece on resale site The RealReal, with Goreski posting the proof on his own social media.

And besides paying proper tribute to the “Glitter” queen herself, it also perfectly matched the mirrorball “DWTS” trophy.

“It’s like a literal disco ball,” Hough said, adding that Carey wasn’t the only famous lady to slip into the mini; Gisele Bündchen also wore it on the September 2007 cover of Vanity Fair.

In fact, the dancer said it was Bündchen’s cover look that inspired Hough’s long blond waves for the evening’s show.

During the telecast, stars like Maura Higgins, Julia Stiles and Tyler Cameron danced to Carey songs through the years, with Ciara Miller ultimately sent home.
