A director at Nvidia Corp. (NVDA, Financials), the semiconductor giant behind the AI expenditure boom, was leading a big wave of insider selling in the third quarter. The report data shows that Director Mark Stevens sold 4.24 million shares of Nvidia for around $946.6 million. That made him the top seller on a list that also featured some big-name technology CEOs.Nvidia's stock has jumped over 30% this year, highlighting the magnitude of the deal. But Stevens was hardly the only one.Arista Networks CEO Jayshree Ullal sold around $446 million of shares while CoreWeave CEO Michael Intrator sold about $347.2 million. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos sold about $346.5 million worth of shares, after earlier announcing he planned to sell up to 15 million shares. The figures are stark, but investors should be cautious not to interpret every sell as a warning. Several of the transactions, including those by Ullal and Intrator, came under planned 10b5-1 trading strategies. Executives also can sell shares to diversify their holdings, pay taxes or for other personal reasons.Still, the size of the insider selling is worth noting, especially with AI-related valuations running high.Nvidia and other AI-linked equities are now moving into 2027, and investors will be monitoring for the selling in future regulatory reports.
