inside the jets It’s now or never for Aaron Glenn to leave his imprint on these Jets By Brian Costello Published Oct. 7, 2026, 6:40 a.m. ET Aaron Glenn walks along the sideline during the Jets' loss to the Lions on Sept. 27, 2026. AP Who are the Aaron Glenn Jets?
That, to me, is the biggest problem facing Glenn right now. He has been the head coach for 21 games, and I could not tell you what the Jets identity is under him. I’ve heard him talk about things every coach talks about — being physical and violent on defense, being committed to the run on offense. We’ve seen flashes of those things, but there has been no consistency.
This season was always going to be a referendum on Glenn and whether he should remain as the coach in 2027, when it feels as if the Jets should be ready to become a contender. So far, the evidence is going against him. It’s early. There are 13 games left for him to change that opinion.
