I’m Here for Whatever Is Going on Between ‘Sinners’ Star Michael B. Jordan and ‘Bridgerton’ Breakout Yerin Ha

Every once in a while, a piece of celebrity gossip hits the timeline that doesn’t make you feel icky or mad, but totally, incandescently happy. Case in point: the honestly adorable rumors that have recently begun to swirl around Michael B. Jordan, the Oscar-nominated star of last year’s massive summer hit Sinners, and Bridgerton Season 4 breakout Yerin Ha. Ever since the two stars posed for a cute photo together at the official afterparty for the 2026 Actor Awards (aka the SAG Awards), fans have noticed something happening between the two on social media. Okay, it’s mostly Michael B. Jordan flexing his heartthrob status even more by high key liking Yerin Ha’s public posts and TikTok dances on main.

Now, I’m not saying MBJ and Bridgerton‘s Sophie Baek are dating. I’m not even saying they’re more than just friends. I’m just saying that something very sweet is percolating in plain sight and it’s precisely the kind of wholesome gossip the entertainment industry needs in 2026.

Okay, so on February 27, 2026, Elle published an interview with Yerin Ha where she reflected on her whirlwind start to the year and hyped her upcoming gig as ambassador for the 2026 Actor Awards. When Elle asked Ha if there were any celebrities she was hoping to meet at the star-studded event, she humbly said, “Literally, whoever is on the guest list,” before namedropping the talented creatives behind Sinners.

“I would be really keen to meet Wunmi [Mosaku], Michael B. Jordan, and Ryan Coogler,” Ha said. “A lot of the POC creatives I’m very, very interested in bumping into.”

Elle ran the article with the cheeky headline, “Yerin Ha on the Bridgerton Season 4 Finale and (Hopefully) Meeting Michael B. Jordan at the Actor Awards,” which drew the first official line between the two actors.

On March 1, Michael B. Jordan not only won the coveted Actor Award for Outstanding Male Actor in a Leading Role, immediately catapulting him back into the top heap of the Oscar race, but he also took the time to, yes, pose for that pic with Yerin Ha.

So far everything is very professional, right? Well, the two stars then followed each other on Instagram and fans noticed that Jordan began liking her glamorous posts. It was even noticed that he found and commented on her TikTok dances on Bridgerton fan accounts and had liked a photo from the past that, ahem, he’d had to have scrolled down her page to discover. (ETalk has a very funny and relatable breakdown of what this might mean.)

Of course, this is all just fun, silly conjecture. There’s zero evidence that Michael B. Jordan and Yerin Ha are anything more than professional colleagues who admire each other’s work. And for me, that’s ironically what makes this piece of gossip so compelling.

Michael B. Jordan is one of the most beloved leading men of his generation in Hollywood and this Sunday, he might finally win that Academy Award; the seal of approval that, yes, he is one of the greats. Yerin Ha is likewise having a major moment. No matter how you felt about Bridgerton Season 4, Ha was the shimmering highlight. She announced herself to the world in a major way as Hollywood’s next ingenue to watch — and fall in love with. Watching these two incredibly talented, effervescently charming, and insanely gorgeous people publicly share respect for each other’s game is intoxicating. It’s good stuff!

All of this is to say, I don’t know what is going on between Michael B. Jordan and Yerin Ha, but whatever it is, I am down for it. These are two artists making a positive impact on the entertainment industry with their work and I just want to see them both continue to win.

The hullabaloo on social media over a few errant “likes” is simply proof positive that Michael B. Jordan and the groundbreaking Sinners continue to hold sway over us and that Bridgerton has once again launched a new star who delightfully defies stereotypes.

(Okay, but I also wouldn’t hate it if there was something happening between them in the DMs. I’m only human.)
