Shree Mishra Wed, October 7, 2026 at 4:16 AM EDT 2 min read GC=F -1.00% HG=F -0.32% SI=F -1.87% GoldMining has released initial assay findings from its 2026 diamond core drilling programme at the wholly owned Yarumalito Project, located in the Mid Cauca gold-copper porphyry belt in Colombia's Antioquia region.

The company reported that hole YAR-45 yielded nearly 400m of uninterrupted gold-copper mineralisation beginning at surface, with results confirming the presence and structure of porphyry-style mineralisation within the project's core P-1 host unit.

It returned 399.9m grading 0.45 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent, incorporating 0.34g/t gold, 0.09% copper and 1.21g/t silver from surface to 399.9m in depth.

Within this interval, notable sections include 33.2m at 0.81g/t gold equivalent beginning at 10.3m, and a further 74.7m zone at 0.61g/t gold equivalent from 136.5m, which itself included 47m at 0.7g/t.

Additionally, an interval of 36m at 0.65g/t was encountered from 330m.

According to GoldMining, the drilling has supported its 3D geological model, indicating the P-1 porphyry intrusive suite as the main source of mineralisation, marked by disseminated and vein stockwork ores that remain open along both strike and depth.

The current programme comprised four diamond drill-holes totalling 1,218m, completed as scheduled, with assay results for three holes (YAR-46 to YAR-48) still awaited.

GoldMining CEO Alastair Still said: "Initial results from our 2026 drilling programme at Yarumalito confirm the scale and continuity of this robust gold-copper porphyry system.

"Intersecting nearly 400m of continuous mineralisation from surface validates the predictive strength of our updated 3D geological model and confirms that the P-1 intrusive phase represents an expansive mineralised host."

The Yarumalito Project, situated roughly 65km south of Medellín and around 40km south of the company's La Mina project, sits within the Mid Cauca belt, a region recognised for several prominent gold-copper deposits.

This site benefits from road access, nearby grid power, and proximity to core-logging facilities in Valparaiso.

The mineralisation is tied to Miocene-aged intrusive activity, with both disseminated porphyry and late-stage epithermal veins identified.

Recent re-logging from 2024 and 2025 further classified the intrusive phases, highlighting P-1 as the principal mineral-hosting unit.

Assay results from the current campaign will be incorporated into updated geological and resource models.

In March this year, GoldMining launched a drilling programme centred on exploration at its wholly owned São Jorge Project in Brazil's Tapajós gold district.
