Kawhi Leonard logged 45 points, five rebounds, five assists and one hilarious reaction to a postgame dust-up at Intuit Dome on Wednesday night.
Just moments after Los Angeles beat up the Timberwolves, 153-128, in Inglewood, a skirmish between the two teams broke out — and Leonard’s funny response to it all was captured on broadcast cameras.
After showing love to one of his opponents, Leonard looked to his left at the chaos, and calmly said, “Hey, a fight.”
The 34-year-old, known for his stoicism, then cracked a rare smile.
The Timberwolves and Clippers got in a scuffle following their game at Intuit Dome on Wednesday. The clip sent social media into a frenzy, with some of the videos garnering hundreds of thousands of views.
The scuffle ended up being much ado about nothing — it was broken up just seconds after it started, and it’s still unclear why it even happened, though many believe frustration over Leonard’s 15-of-20 shooting night played some kind of role.
“In all honesty,” Minnesota guard Anthony Edwards admitted after the game, “Kawhi may be one of the best players to ever play the game when he’s healthy. I think a lot of his peers feel the same way about him. If he’s healthy, 100 percent, ain’t no stopping Kawhi.”
The Clippers have now won six of their last seven games thanks in large part to Leonard. They’ll return to the floor next as favorites in their Friday night home matchup with the Bulls.
