It all started when, on the March 5 taping of Jeff Lewis daily radio show, Kennedy said, “I don’t like her,” referring to Javid. Pushed to elaborate, Kennedy explained, “She’s disrespectful, not thorough, and completely — this is called accountability. Accountability is your kryptonite. I’m not gonna do small talk. You two can laugh all you want. You can laugh all you want. Because everyone knows that’s a bullshit cover.”

According to Kennedy, Javid—a licensed real estate agent who works for The Agency, Mauricio Umansky’s firm—recently helped him purchase a lofty Los Angeles mansion. However, he was unhappy with the way she handled some of the loose ends after they closed.

Kennedy claimed that when he moved in, he asked Javid for the listing agent’s contact information so he could forward the previous owner’s mail, but Javid failed to deliver the phone number (side note: it’s typically deemed unprofessional for the buyer’s agent to give their client the listing agent’s phone number). Apparently, Kennedy texted Javid, saying something snarky along the lines of, “What, you got paid and now you don’t care anymore?” to which Javid responded by threatening to end their long-standing friendship.

On the radio show, Javid spoke about how hard she worked on securing the deal for Kennedy, whom she described as “demeaning” and “disrespectful.”

“He was in a bad mood, he is very grumpy when he’s tired, he was mistreating me the same way he mistreats other women in his life, and I just had a short fuse for it,” she said.

Javid, fortunately, had both Lewis and her The Valley: Persian Style co-star, Reza Farahan, defending her against Kennedy’s unhinged attack. Still, that didn’t stop him.

Kennedy bluntly told her to “grow up,” while she fired back at him for acting like an “animal.” Per Javid, Kennedy allegedly told her their little squabble would be “great for radio,” prompting her to question whether or not he was actually upset. While he insisted he was genuinely angry, Kennedy later took to social media to praise Javid for her work.

“BIG shoutout to my real estate agent @mercedesjavid for getting me one of the best deals of my life,” he wrote after their appearance on Jeff Lewis Live. “Yes I know I argue sometimes, can overly demanding and a grumpy, but this deal would never have happened without your knowledge, keen deal instincts, and your extreme patience. I appreciate u and thank u. ❤️”

Jeff Lewis Live airs on Radio Andy on week mornings at 11/10c.
