If you never had the privilege of seeing The King perform live, director Luhrmann is gifting the world the next best thing: recovered footage of Elvis Presley’s Vegas residency, restored, coming to IMAX theaters this weekend via the new documentary, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert.
While he was making his 2022 Elvis biopic, Baz Luhrmann went looking for previously unseen footage of Elvis, and he found it—but it didn’t have sound. Over the next few years, Luhrmann and his team tracked down archival audio and began the long process of syncing it up to the footage and restoring it into something watchable. Now, all that hard work has culminated in Luhrmann’s new documentary, which includes never-before-seen footage of Elvis both on stage and off stage. That includes the famed the “gold jacket” performance in Hawaii in 1957.
There’s no doubt this is a must-watch film for fans not just of Elvis, but music history. Read on to find out where to watch EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, and when and where we expect to be able to watch EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert on streaming.
EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in the U.S. in theaters first in IMAX theaters only on Friday, February 20, followed by a wide release in more theaters on February 27. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Neon release, and most Neon movies stream on Hulu, not Netflix, thanks to the Neon and Hulu output deal. EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert will be available to buy or rent on Amazon Prime after the movie is released on digital, but it will not be available to stream for free with a Prime subscription any time soon, because it is not a Prime original.
If you want to watch EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Hulu.
If you’re new to Hulu, you can get started with a 30-day free trial on the streamer’s basic (with ads) plan. After the trial period, you’ll pay $10.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu. These bundles start at $12.99/month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu and goes up to $32.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max, all ad-free.
You’ll likely see EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert streaming on Hulu sometime in the next six months. (Provided the Hulu app isn’t phased out before then.)
The EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert Hulu release date has not yet been announced, but we can make an educated guess based on previous Neon releases on Hulu. Another Neon movie, Splitsville, began streaming on Hulu about five-and-a-half months after it opened in theaters. If EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert follows a similar release pattern, you may see EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert on Hulu around August 2026.
On the other hand, another Neon release, It Lives Inside, began streaming on Hulu just three months after opening in theaters—so it’s not a hard and fast rule.
It’s all speculation right now. If you want to see EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert ASAP, your best bet is to see it in theaters.
