Regis Resources shares fall as Q1 gold production remains weak Roushni Nair Wed, October 7, 2026 at 1:00 AM EDT 2 min read RRL.AX ^AXJO GC=F 5401.KL GC Investing.com -- Shares of Regis Resources Ltd (ASX:RRL) fell to a two-month low on Wednesday, as investors reacted to a subdued first-quarter production performance despite the miner maintaining its full-year outlook.

Shares slipped by 1.32% to A$7.095, their lowest level since August 6, sharply underperforming the ASX 200 index.

Regis produced 83,000 ounces of gold in the three months to September 30, with output affected by significant rainfall in September.

The company said the result was in line with its expectations, but the quarter represents only about 21% of its 360,000-400,000-ounce FY27 production target, leaving a substantial production ramp required through the rest of the year.

The quarterly result comprised 56,100 ounces from Duketon and 27,000 ounces from Regis' 30% attributable stake in Tropicana.

Regis maintained its FY27 production guidance of 360,000 to 400,000 ounces, which it expects to be weighted toward the second half as several open pits ramp up.

The company had previously raised its FY27 guidance following FY26 production of 379,000 ounces, with the higher outlook supported by growth at Duketon and continued investment across its portfolio.

Regis' annual guidance implies average quarterly production of roughly 90,000-100,000 ounces, although management has flagged the uneven production profile.

Regis generated A$146 million of pre-tax cash and bullion during the quarter and ended September with A$1.28 billion of cash and bullion, providing a substantial balance-sheet buffer as it funds growth projects.

The quarterly cash figure included a A$51 million break fee from the terminated Vault Minerals transaction, while the company also paid A$53 million in tax.
