Hong Kong police said they received a report about the crash on Tsing Ma Bridge at 8.31am, adding that 10 people were slightly injured.
Photographs from the scene show at least one vehicle flipped onto its side.
The Transport Department said at 9.09am that all lanes on the bridge heading towards the airport were closed to traffic and that congestion had built up.
The MTR Corporation announced it had increased services on the Airport Express and Tung Chung Line.
