Our special correspondents in Beirut were able to visit the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, which have been under Israeli bombardments for a week.At least 500 people have been killed in Lebanon since the start of the war in the Middle East and some 700,000 others have been forced to flee, according to the latest figures. But some residents remain in the area despite the danger.
